FL Studio and MPC has the best Stem separation of the DAWS. Better than the online separators and Serato.

Should have partnered with JJ after the 1000. He still selling, made larger screen work with 1000 and 2500, better flow. It is like how blockbuster had the chance to buy Netflix and declined. 🤦‍♂️

Most Beatmakers already aren't instrument playing musicians, and now AI is filling in as the band. What exactly is next? Just say what you want, and AI builds it in a few seconds? Now at this point, anyone can fulfill their dream of being a musician... except its pretend. I only mention this because we are going to miss out on a lot of great musicians who never knew they had it inside because it's easier to just pretend for family and friends who dont know the difference.

As of today Guitar Center now shipping units! Still shows back ordered, but the unit I ordered has shipped.

I would love to tell you guys I still use mine but I don't, for me and the music I make, groove boxes was not really the direction I should have went, but they were fun as hell. But in the end for me was the DAW and a midi controller. My grooveboxes (mc909 , 2 sp808's and the Korg electribe all collect dust, they are just eye candy because the DAW gets me to where I need to go. But I will say this the 909 is a great synth and I might break it out again to use the synth and record it into the DAW

My goodness it's a hit or miss for me.

This is what Akai should do. Create an AKAI MPC GENESIS MK1, Make it the size and externally similar to the MPC 2500. Give it an adjustable screen that is flush with the chassis so it doesn’t protrude like the MPC X. Drop all the 16 knobs and including all the faders. Dedicate 2 Knobs and 2 Faders that are adjustable based on the Pad, Track, and Program being utilized. Bring back dedicated buttons for features like the MPC’s 60,3000,4000. Enable the unit to be Bluetooth capable. Making it possible to utilize Bluetooth speakers. Pads return to the firm yet soft and responsive rubber like the 60,3000, 2000, 2500. Onboard Filters and Effects, applicable to each pad, track, and program. With processing power to handle MPC STEMS in the OS, include converters that give it a sound like none other product. If Akai could come out this machine, that would revolutionize the music production industry. IMO I’d be happy with that.

Sorry but stem separation WONT be coming to the current generation of standalone MPC’s it takes too much computing power to work, your iPhone has a better processing chip than any MPC.

I keep telling people stems in stand alone is tough. Stand alone is a Linux based os. Stems is like other major software is hard to find on Linux. On top of that audio separation is new programming.
